History

The business was started in 1904 by Tom Blew. In the early days Tom was also a barber as well as the local cycle shop. Originally trading from premises in George Street, moving to East Street in 1914. There was rumours abounding that a stash of money was hidden on these premises but nothing was ever found and the premises were demolished in 1988 to make an enlarged access to land at the rear.
In 1929 the current owners moved in to Warminster. In the spring of 1942 Mrs Lillian Batchelor bought the business from Tom Blew. The business then passed to Frank Batchelor in 1945 (the year of his marriage). Business grew during the ensuing years and in 1958 a second shop was purchased in the Market Place, where we continue to trade from.
Paul Batchelor took over the business in 1988, making the third generation of the family to run Warminster's cycle shop.
